Walkabout

Student Life Ministry in Brisbane, Australia with Amanda DeCesaro

Part of my life in Brisbane is just living an Aussie life and the other day made me feel very Aussie when we went to go get our Queensland Driver's License! Emily, Dani and I all walked down to the transport place which is conveniently just down the street and easily obtained a license from another country....yup, no tests or anything!

Later that night we met Nate, Carl, and his friend in the city to watch the Korea Argentina World Cup game. Dani and I were cheering for Korea who sadly lost 4 to 1. Just the previous night was the second State of Origin Rugby game, a three game match between Queensland and New South Wales with as much hype as the Super Bowl. Queensland dominated, yay, and won its 5th consecutive year. Then in case we didn't get enough rugby we took the summer project team to a Broncos game on Friday. Three of the Broncos were just in the State of Origin game but still played well, however, the Broncos lost to the Panthers. But I was excited to see the team's mascot, Bucky, canter out on each try (score).

Its been a very fun week but the most significant and exciting part was just getting the news tonight that one of the girls we have been meeting up with prayed to receive Christ with Sammie, one of the girls I disciple. God is so so great! Thanks God!
